Getting Ready for the 2021 Adventure!

 We are scheduled to head off to Jack's River Falls on 1/16/2021 for our annual pilgrimage of lunacy of camping in the dead of winter.  This year marks the 29th such adventure.  What will happen?  Who will win the Dead Pool?  We will see!

Timeline of PussFest

Below is a timeline of MLK trips from over the years. This is reprinted with permission of the PussFest Picayune . This is the best recollection we have of the events. Here are some highlights of where we went over the years. 1992: Lake Fontana was the site with Dave, Jay, Slim, Ted, Travis, some drifter named Randy, and someone being left out. Very cold and we ate MRE’s from the Army-Navy store in Athens. Cold ass night. It was so cold Dave had to use Ted’s Emergency Blanket. 1993-1995:The war years interrupted the camping trips. 1996: : Blood Mountain with Dave, Little Ted, and Big Ted. A one nighter. 1997: Great Smoky Mountains with Dave and Slim. On this trip, it was never above 10 degrees. 1998: : Klingman’s Dome with Dave, Jay, Slim, and Ted. Snowed. Great MLK to quote Dave. Ted Scott hurt in accident!

Ted had a scooter mishap on January 8th, 2008 when a young punk ran into him. Ted suffered several broken ribs and a punctured lung. I spoke with Tonya this morning and says his is doing okay. Let's remember our good friend in his time of need and say a prayer for him but let's not forget to make fun of him for picking a tough way to get out of going camping this year!
