MLK 2016!

Due to cold weather, we decided to go play golf in Eufaula Alabama.  We had a great time.  This year we played at the Country Club of Alabama due to the state park closing.  We fear Mr. Kotter lost his job.

I was a little disappointed with the Country Club of Alabama not having a rule against not wearing shirts like the state park course did but the girl that worked there, Anna, made up for it.  She was warm and welcoming as a new day in Spring.  She was the nice Southern Alabama girl you would expect to meet.

The course prices were reasonable and the carts were in good shape.  The course was in okay shape for winter.  They have some weed control they need to work on.

Slim won this year's Deadpool and here is a picture of him holding the trophy:

The first day we played was nice.  It was a little overcast but warm.  The second day was very windy.  We pretty much had the course to ourselves on Sunday. 

Sunday night we made our picks for the annual Deadpool.

We ended the trip on a high note with a nice drive back and our Deadpool picks secured for another season.  I will post more about the DP later.

My goal is to try to post on this a little more this year.

Ted Scott hurt in accident!

Ted had a scooter mishap on January 8th, 2008 when a young punk ran into him. Ted suffered several broken ribs and a punctured lung. I spoke with Tonya this morning and says his is doing okay. Let's remember our good friend in his time of need and say a prayer for him but let's not forget to make fun of him for picking a tough way to get out of going camping this year!
