Ted Update

I went and saw Ted last night. He is doing well. I knew he was on the road to recovery when he said he was going to scratch his balls in front of me and did just that.

Check back for more updates.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers and funny 'A' comments! A quick update: I brought said 'ball scratcher' home last nite. Somehow he convinced his Dr. that he was 'good to go' even though he still has not "poo'd" as Mike Rowe would say. His first nite home was not so much fun...I set him up in his oldest son's room as there is no way that he was going to navigate the marital throne (too high off the floor). I gave him his meds, tall drink of water, magazines(provided by Capt. Jay) & kissed him goodnite. Several minutes later there is a loud bang and then thump...What the H? I run upstairs to find B.Scratcher flat of his back in bed(what happened to the pillow mountain?)and a menagerie of items around the door(the small dresser drawer slamming against the bedroom door finally got our attention). Ted is floundering like a turtle on its back and can't breathe. He also can't yell as he has problems with his lung capacity due to the accident. Thankfully Ted Sr. is home and helps me get the convalescent upright and breathing adequately again. During the nite he also coughed up some really yucko stuff and decided that a warm bath would be nice at 3am(muscles were all locked up and tense). I believe that all is going to be okay eventually. It is going to be a long, painful and slow healing process.

I really appreciate all of you and your friendship with Ted. We would all be at a tremendous loss if we didn't have the 'Chronicles of Ted' to keep us laughing and to keep life real. Appreciate your loved one's and please tell them that you love them EVERY DAY!

Love you guys!
